Professional Experience

Machine Learning Engineer Intern

May 2023 - Aug 2023

Biorobotics Lab, Carnegie Mellon University

  • Customizing, training and hyper-parameter tuning state-of-the-art Computer Vision Model – UNet for segmentation of electronic devices for e-waste recycling on synthetically augmented X-Rays of electronic devices. Implemented python scripts to automate the unequal split in data and augment it with a bias.
  • Implemented live segmentation of a video stream on a GUI based on ROS, transforming pixel coordinates to meter coordinates of the segmented masks to accurately find the location of components on the device
  • Computed a composite metric using IOU Recall and the number of components detected and achieved IOU recall of 98.5%
  • Evaluated on UNet, Detectron2, Token Fusion models to combine and learn from different modalities - XRay and RGB for small object segmentation, specifically mobile phone components. (Multimodal Learning)

Machine Learning Research Assistant

May 2023 - Present

Carnegie Mellon University

  • Developing a graph based deep learning recommendation model for medication reconciliation. Working on a diverse dataset of patient medication histories to achieve accurate medication recommendations to avoid over and under-prescribing.

Software Engineer I

June 2021 - July 2022

Oracle Health

  • Spearheaded automation of cross-solution dependency updates, saving up to 6 hours/week. Engineered seamless workflows, reducing errors and manual efforts. Mentored juniors on Java Microservices and APIs.
  • Collaborated on automating the data leveraged by Jbehave stories to a docker container, reducing alteration-related engineering hours by up to 5 hours, enhancing scalability and eliminating manual interventions
  • Executed migration of core functions to RESTful APIs, extensively executed tests and deployed it via Jenkins CI/CD pipeline.
  • Led rigorous testing using JUnits, debugging, and code reviews using eslint, achieving a 25% reduction in defects

Software Engineer Intern

January 2021 - June 2021

Oracle Health

  • Designed and implemented an architecture supporting the seamless integration of features developed in React and C# for a management tool. Devised a system to detect configuration file modifications on Android and provide user notifications.
  • Developed a patient management app leveraging React JS, C# using a .Net framework that securely manages patients
